Eagles Brought Back to Reality, Lose to Bears 31-26

The Eagles winning streak ended on Sunday with a 31-26 loss to the Chicago Bears.
Michael Vick was not able to get much going early as a stingy Bears defense was able to get a lot of pressure on him and not let him settle into the pocket. He also threw his first interception of the season (although not entirely his fault), which ended up being the turning point of the game.
Defensively, the Eagles gave up way too many big plays. They allowed a very mediocre Jay Cutler to complete easy passes, which his receivers turned into big gains with a lot of poor tackling.
The Eagles run defense also struggled after looking very dominating throughout the season. Bears running back Matt Forte was allowed to run for 117 yards on just 14 carries.
Without Asante Samuel, the Eagles secondary struggled. Rookie Trevard Lindley was beat often on a lot of quick throws as he was giving up a large cushion. They failed to force Cutler into any turnovers, something he’s been pro...
