Eddie Lacy Injury: Updates on Packers Star’s Foot and Return

Over the last two years, Eddie Lacy has made himself an integral piece of the Green Bay Packers. Now, the Packers are being cautious with their star running back after he experienced discomfort in his foot during training camp.

Lacy Leaves Practice With Soreness   Tuesday, Aug. 4 "Eddie had some foot soreness," head coach Mike McCarthy said, via Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com. "They just pulled him out there near the end."
Demovsky noted the Packers don't practice on Wednesday and will have meetings before returning to the field on Thursday, giving Lacy time to recover.
Some wondered if the 25-year-old might have a sophomore slump in 2014, but the exact opposite proved true. While Lacy's total rushing yards fell from 1,178 to 1,139, his yards-per-carry average jumped half-a-yard to 4.4 yards. He also caught 42 passes for 427 yards and four touchdowns.
