EJ Manuel Injury: Updates on Bills QB’s Knee

Buffalo Bills quarterback EJ Manuel was extremely impressive in his first taste of live NFL action, but the No. 16 overall pick in this year's draft will miss the remainder of the preseason with a knee injury.  
The team's official Twitter account broke news of the unfortunate development on Saturday:

— Buffalo Bills (@buffalobills) August 17, 2013 That was followed by a statement from the Bills' official website, which provided more details and indicated that veteran Kevin Kolb would be the starter in Buffalo's next game against the Washington Redskins:
EJ Manuel had some swelling in his left knee this morning and was examined by our medical staff. An MRI revealed that he will need to have a minor knee procedure and that has been scheduled. He will miss the remainder of the preseason and then be re-evaluated at that time.
