Eli the Orangutan, Who Predicted 7 Super Bowl Winners, Passes Away at Age 24

Elijah the Orangutan, known to many as Eli, has passed away at age 24. Eli rose to fame due to his uncanny ability to predict the winning team in Super Bowl matchups. Specifically, Eli correctly predicted the winner of the last seven Super Bowls when presented with a choice between the two conference champions.
Eli made his choices by giving attention to (i.e. knocking down) paper mache helmets or goal posts with the team names and logos on them.

Eli was thought of as a "class clown" and "a gentle father," according to members of the Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he had lived since 2004, via Time's Denver Nicks.
