Elvis Dumervil Offered New Deal by Denver Broncos After Contract Snafu

Just days after a contract snafu put Elvis Dumervil on the free-agent market, it appears the star defensive end will once again have a chance to accept an offer from the Denver Broncos. 
And this time, there's no deadline on his decision.
That's the latest from Broncos team president John Elway (via ESPN.com), who said on Tuesday that the three-time Pro Bowler has been offered a contract to rejoin one of the NFL's best pass-rushing units. 
It has certainly been a strange week for Dumervil. He was released on Friday following what appeared to be a renegotiation of his six-year, $61.5 million contract. Both sides had a deal in place that would have reduced Dumervil's 2013 salary from $12 million to $8 million.
All that was left was the paperwork.
The paperwork was late, though, and the Broncos were forced to release Dumervil rather than accrue the additional $4 million salary cap hit.
