Eric Decker Injury Update: Jets WR Undergoes Hip Surgery

The New York Jets announced Tuesday that wide receiver Eric Decker had hip surgery.
According to Eric Allen of the team's official website, Decker is expected to make a full recovery from the procedure in six months.
"It's probably too early for that," head coach Todd Bowles said about Decker being ready for 2017, per Ralph Vacchiano of SNY. "It'll probably be close."
The 29-year-old will also need to have surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff, which ended his season. Allen reported Decker can't have that procedure until he has recovered from his hip surgery to the point where he no longer needs crutches.
After having the shoulder surgery, Decker will be out for around eight months.
"He's been quietly battling these injuries for years and fighting through them," Decker's wife Jessie said on Twitter. "So much respect for my husband & his love for the game! Thanks for the well wishes. He's doin great!! Get ready #2017 he will be ready to rock!!!"
