Jets Trying To Sign Henderson Before Free Agency Thursday, Jan. 28 Dom Cosentino of NJ Advance Media reported Thursday that the sides met Wednesday night to begin talks regarding a new contract for the 29-year-old veteran after he appeared in all 16 games for the Jets in 2015.
Henderson enjoyed a solid bounce-back campaign in New York. He racked up 45 combined tackles and two forced fumbles as a versatile piece of the team's linebacker group.
Henderson had missed the entire 2014 season after two arrests on DUI and drug charges, which brought an end to his time with the Minnesota Vikings.
He explained to Tom Pelissero of USA Today back in 2014 that his alcohol and marijuana use had started to have a major impact on his ability to perform.
