Fantasy Football: Buy Low Candidates to Avoid

Yesterday we looked at some Buy Low candidates that you should target. Not every struggling stud is worth getting though. Big things were expected of them to start the season, but they haven’t delivered. Don’t let their owners off the hook by acquiring them.


Beanie Wells, RB, Arizona Cardinals:  There are two factors in play that make me want to avoid Beanie like a smiling blackjack dealer. First is his health. He just can’t seem to stay on the field. Second, I have no faith in their offense. When I start losing faith in Larry Fitzgerald of all people, you can imagine how I’m feeling about Beanie.


Felix Jones, RB, Dallas Cowboys:  Dallas committed to the run against Houston in Week 3, but Jones got just seven carries. This is a team that’s trying to find its identity, and even though the Cowboys are expressing the desire to get him the ball more, I’d like to see signs of it before I take on the risk.
