Former Auburn, Cowboys LB Dave Edwards Dies at the Age of 76

Former Auburn Tigers and Dallas Cowboys linebacker Dave Edwards died in his sleep Monday evening at the age of 76.  
According to the Associated Press, Edwards' brother disclosed that the Super Bowl champion was scheduled to undergo surgery this week after he was diagnosed with a heart condition. 
The Denver Broncos selected Edwards in the 25th round of the 1962 AFL draft, but he spent the entirety of his 13-year career with the Cowboys. 
Former Cowboys vice president of player personnel Gil Brandt reflected on Edwards' tenure with the team once the news broke: 
Edwards was with the Cowboys from 1963 to 1975 and made 163 starts over the course of his 181 total appearances with the team. All told, he appeared in three Super Bowls. 
According to AL.com's Mark Inabinett, Edwards played on both sides of the ball during his time at Auburn and was a First-Team All-SEC selection in 1961. That year, Edwards recorded 25 catches for 372...
