Former Bills DE Robert Eddins Dies at Age 28

Former Buffalo Bills defensive lineman Robert Eddins was one of two victims who were shot to death inside his home in Detroit, Dave Spencer of Fox 2 Detroit reported Tuesday.
Eddins played for the Bills during the 2011 season and went to high school in Detroit.
Eddins was 28 years old.
Eddins and the other man—identified as Ricky McFarland—were found inside Eddins' home by the defensive lineman's father. Eddins' house is located just south of Eight Mile Road in Detroit.
According to Spencer, investigators believed whoever shot the men was attempting to cover up the crime because the gas stove was left on at the scene. Spencer also noted "there were no signs of forced entry, leading police to believe the victims might have known the suspect."
Eddins appeared in one game for the Bills in 2011 and played four seasons at the collegiate level for Ball State. He tallied a combined 17 sacks and seven forced fumbles during his final three years with the Car...
