Saw most of his games the past two years. As an East Carolina guy, was hoping the hometown Tampa Bay Buccaneers would be savvy enough to pick this guy early in the second round.
They didn't. The Giants did and Giant fans will be glad they did.
Let me introduce the Beast from ECU–Linval Joseph.
He'll be a terrific NFL lineman. He's big and strong. At 6'5", 330 lbs., he can manhandle anyone in front of him and he's fast enough to give chase. At his size, he ran 5.0 in the 40. Has an amazing 30-inch vertical jump.
His wingspan is huge, he's still a bit raw in technique, but that's what NFL coaches do.
You want power, quickness and upside? This man is your man.
He'll make you a believer when he gets his chance.
No doubt, East Carolina is not a household name in New York. But Linval Joseph will make an impression.
He's perfect for the trench warfare in the NFC East.
