Green Bay Packers: Super Bowl Winner Mike McCarthy Extended Through 2015

A little over a month ago Mike McCarthy led the injury-riddled Green Bay Packers into the Super Bowl to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers; in case you didn't know, the Packers won. What reward do you bestow on your head coach who brought the Lombardi Trophy back home to Green Bay for the first time since 1996?
The Packers answered that question last Friday when they announced that they had extended the contract of head coach Mike McCarthy through the 2015 season, making him one of the highest paid coaches in the National Football League.
"We are very pleased to finalize this agreement with Mike," General Manager Ted Thompson stated. "He’s a good football coach, a good leader and a good man. I look forward to working with Mike into the future."
