Haloti Ngata Injury: Updates on Lions Star’s Shoulder and Return

Detroit Lions defensive tackle Haloti Ngata suffered a shoulder injury during the team's Week 5 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Report: Ngata Could Miss Multiple Games Wednesday, Oct. 12 Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Ngata is still undergoing tests to determine the extent of the damage in his shoulder, but the expectation right now is he will miss two to three weeks. 
Ngata was given the thankless task of replacing not just Ndamukong Suh but also Nick Fairley on Detroit's defensive line in 2015. The franchise lost both players to free agency, forcing the front office to approve sending fourth- and fifth-round picks to the Baltimore Ravens for Ngata's services.
