Issac Bruce Will Retire As a St. Louis Ram

The official site of the St. Louis Rams announced that the Rams have acquired Issac Bruce's rights. Ostensibly, this acquisition comes via trade with the 49ers, although details of the trade were not disclosed. Evidently, the purpose is to hold a ceremonial retirement for Issac.

As we all know, Issac was the Rams' second-round selection in the 1994 draft (33rd overall). He played 14 years for the Rams, amassing 942 receptions and 14,109 yards. He compiled many of those statistics playing with highly suspect quarterbacks, such as Tony Banks, a fact that speaks volumes about Issac's ability. He had his greatest year in 1995, when he caught 119 passes for 1,781 yards. This is when he had an oft-injured Chris Miller throwing him the football.
