Jason Garrett, Cowboys Agree on New Contract: Latest Details, Comments, Reaction

Jason Garrett held up his end of the bargain in a critical 2014 season, guiding the Dallas Cowboys to a 12-4 regular-season record and an NFC East title.
Todd Archer of ESPNDallas.com reported that America's Team rewarded Garrett with an extension on Tuesday:
Nick Eatman of DallasCowboys.com provided financial details leading up to the contract: "According to multiple reports both inside and outside of Valley Ranch, Garrett is very close to signing a five-year, $30 million contract to remain the head coach of America’s Team. The announcement could come as early as Tuesday evening."
Owner and general manager Jerry Jones stood firmly by Garrett after the coach went 24-24 with zero playoff appearances in his first three full years at the helm. That steadfast faith paid off in 2014.
