Jason Pierre-Paul Donates $20K to NY Presbyterian Hospital Burn Unit

Jason Pierre-Paul gave back to those who helped him following a fireworks accident last summer by donating $20,000 to the New York Presbyterian Hospital burn unit Thursday.
As seen in this video courtesy of NJ.com, the free-agent defensive end discussed the philanthropy and why it meant so much to him:
In the video, per NFL.com's Conor Orr, JPP talked about the impact that the burn unit had on him back in July 2015:
As I was sitting in the hospital on July 5, there were a lot of burn [victims] in there. And I was one of them. And just walking through the hospital, I saw a lot of burn people. People that lost hands, people that lost legs, due to fireworks incidents or whatever. And it just made me think, every time I look at my hand, it just made me think about the burn center.
Pierre-Paul lost the tip of his thumb and his entire index finger after the pyrotechnic mishap on Independence Day, which forced him to miss eight games.
