Jay Bromley Cleared of Wrongdoing in Alleged Attempted Rape

New York Giants defensive tackle Jay Bromley was cleared of any wrongdoing Friday in an alleged January rape attempt.   
Per ESPN.com's Dan Graziano, Bromley's attorney, Alex Spiro, confirmed his client has been officially cleared in the case.
On Jan. 30, Jamie Schram, Tina Moore and Larry Celona of the New York Post, citing law enforcement officials, reported Bromley had been accused of rape by a woman while the two were on a date:
The accuser suffered minor injuries when she confronted the lineman afterward outside the hotel, and he allegedly struck her with the front of his car as he drove away, law enforcement sources told The Post.
Those injuries could earn him a misdemeanor assault rap.
Less clear are the woman’s rape allegations, which multiple police sources say could wind up in a he-said, she-said stalemate.
