Jay Ratliff Injury: Updates on Cowboys Star’s Groin, Potential Return Date

The Dallas Cowboys will be without four-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Jay Ratliff for at least the first six weeks of the 2013 NFL season. 
That news comes as a result of the team placing the 31-year-old on the Reserved/Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list on Tuesday. Nick Eatman of DallasCowboys.com was one of the first reporters to break the news on Twitter:

A seventh-round selection of the Cowboys in the 2005 NFL draft, Ratliff had been relatively durable over the first few years of his career. From 2008 to 2011, he started all 16 regular-season games each year and recorded 19.0 sacks as a nose tackle in Dallas' 3-4 scheme during that span.
