Jermaine Cunningham Injury: Updates on Jets LB’s Leg and Return

New York Jets linebacker Jermaine Cunningham left practice on Saturday after suffering a right leg injury, per Kimberley A. Martin of Newsday:

The former second-round draft pick has failed to live up to expectations after an impressive career at Florida. He recorded 34 tackles and one sack in 15 games with the New England Patriots during the 2010 season.
In December 2011, Cunningham was placed on injured reserve, and less than a year later, he was suspended four games by the NFL for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing drugs.
The 26-year-old was signed by New York in November 2013 after getting cut by the San Francisco 49ers. Although Cunningham didn't make much of an impact with the Jets last year, he looked like he'd get a nice opportunity in 2014 playing behind Quinton Coples.
