Jerricho Cotchery Injury: Updates on Panthers WR’s Groin and Return

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery departed Friday's preseason game against the New England Patriots with a groin injury, according to Panthers.com's Max Henson.

Cotchery Ruled Out for the Game Friday, August 28 The Charlotte Observer's Jonathan Jones reported Cotchery suffered a groin pull, head coach Ron Rivera said the injury is "not expected to be serious", via Henson.
Prior to leaving Friday's game, Cotchery had compiled four catches for 38 yards, including an 18-yard reception. 
While it remains to be seen how much time—if any—Cotchery will miss, the Panthers can't afford any more injuries at wide receiver. Not only is star Kelvin Benjamin out for the season with a torn ACL, but rookie Devin Funchess is also battling a hamstring injury that prevented him from playing in Friday's game.
