Jerry Jones Comments on Unsuccesful Trade for Paxton Lynch at 2016 NFL Draft

The Dallas Cowboys selected Mississippi State Bulldogs quarterback Dak Prescott in the fourth round of the NFL draft Saturday, but owner and general manager Jerry Jones was still lamenting his failed pursuit of a first-round-caliber signal-caller two days earlier.
According to ESPN.com's Todd Archer, Jones told reporters he was frustrated after the Cowboys were unable to move back into Round 1 on Thursday night to select Memphis Tigers quarterback Paxton Lynch.
"I got to bed about 3 [a.m.] thinking about the Lynch thing, got up at 6 [a.m.] and before the morning was over had talked to six people about how I messed it up," Jones said. "I was still mad about it the next morning."
Archer reported the Cowboys tried trading up with the Seattle Seahawks to snag Lynch, but Seattle turned them down before the Denver Broncos struck a deal and acquired their future franchise gunslinger. 
"I probably should have overpaid here," Jones added.
