Did Dez Bryant make the catch?

You know what this is about.

Back in January, the superstar receiver hauled in what appeared to be an amazing catch on 4th-and-2 with under five minutes to go against the Green Bay Packers in the divisional round of the NFC playoffs. The Dallas Cowboys were down 26-21 at the time, and Bryant’s catch would’ve put the team virtually on the goal line.

Packers coach Mike McCarthy threw the challenge flag, though, and the rest is history.

Well, maybe not history. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones—like many on the Internet—still insists that Bryant did, in fact, make the play.

He said so Tuesday when questioned at Dallas’ training camp.

“Of course he caught the ball,” Jones said. “Dez knew he caught the ball.”

For what it’s worth, the NFL did rewrite the rule that nullified Bryant’s would-be snag, but it would still be ruled incomplete.
