Jim Harbaugh Reportedly Smeared Player’s Blood on Face as War Paint at Stanford

San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh will do a lot to prove his dedication to his players, even if it makes him seem a bit crazy.
During his first year as the head coach at Stanford (2007), Harbaugh reportedly told his players before a game that if any of them bled during the contest, he wanted it on him, as he wanted so badly to play in the game with them. They didn't buy it, but he was dead serious.
Max Cohen of The Michigan Daily provided a retelling of the incident, including the moment when Harbaugh took it up a notch:
But in the game, right tackle Chris Marinelli ran off the field with the rest of his offense after a touchdown drive, his arm bloodied. He went straight to Harbaugh to show him. Harbaugh looked at the blood and did exactly what he said he would. He took his hand and wiped it on Marinelli’s arm.
