Jimmy Smith Injury: Updates on Ravens CB’s Chest and Return

Baltimore Ravens cornerback Jimmy Smith exited the team's preseason contest against the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday night after suffering a chest injury in the first quarter. According to Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com, Smith was defending wide receiver Dez Bryant when he landed on his back, spitting blood onto the field.
Mike Preston of the Baltimore Sun later tweeted that Smith continued to show this symptom in the locker room after the game:
The Ravens' official Twitter account announced the cornerback had received X-rays on his chest, and the results came back negative:
