Since his broadcasting career came to a close, Madden has remained an active part of the NFL family in several roles.
According to CBSSports.com's Will Brinson, Madden is a co-chair on the NFL Player Safety Advisory Panel as well as the chair of the Coaches Subcommittee to the Competition Committee. Madden was also named a special adviser to Commissioner Roger Goodell in 2009.
