Johnny Manziel Faces 6-Game Suspension If Signed, According to NFL Official

One of the NFL's two chief disciplinary officers, Todd Jones, told Jane McManus of ESPN that if quarterback Johnny Manziel is signed by a team, he'll immediately be hit with a six-game suspension.
McManus noted that Jones and the NFL would be within their power to levy such a punishment:
But it nonetheless prompted a sarcastic and derisive response from George Atallah, the assistant executive director of external affairs for the NFLPA:
NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said the domestic case is still being reviewed by the league, per ESPN.com, though Jones' comments suggest the league has already made a decision regarding Manziel.
Manziel, 23, reached a conditional agreement with prosecutors Thursday to have his domestic assault case involving his former girlfriend, Colleen Crowley, dismissed, per the Associated Press (via USA Today).
The case can't officially be settled until the next hearing, on Dec. 1, and a deal hasn't yet been finalized...
