Johnny Manziel Given Deadline to Agree on Terms to Dismiss Family Violence Case

Former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel appeared in court Thursday in Dallas and took a step toward the dismissal of the family violence charge against him.
According to James Rose of Fox 4 News, Manziel and his team have until Dec. 1 to work out terms of a dismissal:
The charge stems from an incident involving Manziel and his ex-girlfriend in January in which Colleen Crowley alleged the former Heisman Trophy winner struck her at a Dallas hotel.
Per Naheed Rajwani of the Dallas Morning News, an agreement for dismissal was reached in principle, but it can't become official until the next hearing.
According to Fox4News.com, the agreement also includes dismissing a DWI charge. As part of the agreement, Manziel will be charged with a felony if he is charged with family violence in the future, and he won't be permitted to own or transport firearms.
