Jon Robinson to Titans: Latest Contract Details, Comments and Reaction

The Tennessee Titans reportedly filled their general manager vacancy Thursday by hiring former Tampa Bay Buccaneers director of player personnel Jon Robinson to the position.
Robinson confirmed to Roy Cummings of the Tampa Tribune that he accepted the position after Adam Schefter of ESPN reported the two sides "agreed in principle" on a deal for the position. Schefter added Robinson's "first order of business" will be to determine the team's next head coach.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport was the first to report the Titans' intention to hire Robinson, and he also pointed out the Tennessee GM role is Robinson's "dream job."
That certainly makes sense, given that Robinson is a Union City, Tennessee, native, which means his new position will allow him to return home.
The hiring comes just a couple of weeks after the Titans decided against renewing the contract of previous general manager Ruston Webster. Tennessee won just 12 games in three seasons under...
