Speculation Surfaces on Potential McCown Trade Thursday, March 24 ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Twitter on Thursday that the Browns are expected to sign Robert Griffin III, which "figures to make [McCown] available in a trade. Jets, Broncos, Rams still with QB questions."
Jets Prefer to Pursue McCown If He's Released Wednesday, March 23 ESPN.com's Rich Cimini reported the buzz on McCown, noting the current Browns signal-caller met with the Jets last offseason.
McCown fared well in Cleveland last season when he was healthy, throwing for 2,109 yards, 12 touchdowns and only four interceptions in eight games. Broken ribs and a broken collarbone cut his year short, but the 36-year-old acquitted himself well with a subpar cast of wide receivers.
