Jackson Comments on McCown's Status Thursday, Aug. 4  Per Daryl Ruiter of 92.3 The Fan, Browns head coach Hue Jackson told reporters, in regard to McCown, "In the end we're going to be respectful towards the player but in the end will do what's best for us."
“There’s nothing to it as far as we’re concerned. I feel good that he’s here," added Jackson, per Cabot. 
Cowboys Reportedly Pass on McCown   Thursday, Aug. 4 ESPN.com's Ed Werder reported the Dallas Cowboys rejected a potential Josh McCown trade because the Browns' asking price was too high. However, Werder noted the Cowboys were still interested in the veteran signal-caller.
