Julius Peppers To The Redskins? Are You Serious?

I heard this rumor on the Internet and in the newspaper, and I felt that it was my duty as a Redskins fan to rant about what could be an incredibly stupid decision.
For those of you that haven't heard, rumor is that the Redskins are going to strongly pursue Peppers, and with the uncapped year and the deep pockets the Redskins have, with all likelihood, they will get him.
In case you hadn't already got the idea, this is just extremely stupid. And, yes I will get around to explaining why.
Julius Peppers has come out saying he wants a big paycheck. While this is an uncapped year, it's probably safe to assume the cap will return and a very good chance by next season.
This means that the Skins sign Peppers to the big, multi-year contract with guarantied pay. When the cap returns, the Redskins will find Peppers sucking away a lot more of their money then he deserves.
I know what people are saying "But Peppers is a Pro Bowl caliber player! Surely we can afford to...
