Junior Galette Re-Signs with Redskins: Contract Details, Comments and Reaction

Star pass-rusher Junior Galette didn't play an official down for the Washington Redskins after tearing his Achilles prior to the 2015 season. Now he'll seek to change that after re-signing with the team on a one-year deal worth up to $4 million, according to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com.
Albert Breer of the NFL Network confirmed the news. The Redskins confirmed the deal on Wednesday.
Considering Galette had gotten a tattoo of the Redskins' logo, it appeared he was all but certain to stick around, since he also said he wanted to. Washington felt comfortable enough to acquire him last offseason, so it didn't waver from that stance this time around.
Galette was only signed to a one-year deal worth $745,000, per Spotrac. That's because the New Orleans Saints released him due to a domestic violence charge from early 2015 that was eventually dropped, along with a 2013 video that showed a man who was alleged to be Galette striking a woman with a belt.
