Kearse Breaks Seahawks Record for Receiving Touchdowns in Playoffs

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jermaine Kearse set a new franchise record when he recorded his fifth career touchdown catch in the playoffs during Sunday's 31-24 loss to the Carolina Panthers, per ESPN Stats & Info.
Though overshadowed by teammate Doug Baldwin for much of the 2015 season, the 25-year-old Kearse emerged as Russell Wilson's go-to target as the Seahawks mounted a furious comeback from Sunday's 31-0 halftime deficit.
Despite catching just one pass for nine yards in the first half, Kearse finished the afternoon with 11 receptions for 110 yards and two touchdowns on a whopping 15 targets, either equaling or besting his high marks in every major receiving category from the regular season.
Largely valued for his blocking and big-play ability, Kearse has never been a high-volume guy during the regular season, but he always seems to save his best work for January.
He now has 28 catches for 471 yards and six touchdowns on 45 targets in 10 career postseason...
