Kellen Davis Re-Signs with Jets: Latest Contract Details, Comments, Reaction

New York Jets tight end Kellen Davis re-signed with the team on a one-year deal on Monday, according to Pro Football Talk and Rich Cimini of ESPN.
The contract is worth $965,000 with an $80,000 signing bonus and $230,000 in guaranteed money, per Tom Pelissero of USA Today.
He rejoins a crowded depth chart at the position that also includes Jace Amaro, Zach Sudfeld, Adrien Robinson and Brandon Bostick.
Davis, 30, caught just three passes for 18 yards and a touchdown in 2015 with the Jets. He started nine games for the team and appeared in all 16 contests.
While he isn't a threat in the passing game—his high in receptions (19) and receiving yards (229) came with the Chicago Bears in 2012—he's carved a role for himself in the NFL as a solid inline blocker.
