Kendrick Lewis to Ravens: Latest Contract Details, Comments and Reaction

Last year, Football Outsiders ranked the Baltimore Ravens' pass defense a somewhat pedestrian 15th in the NFL. On Saturday, Baltimore attempted to improve that number, confirming that it signed veteran safety Kendrick Lewis to a three-year deal.
Lewis started 16 games for the Houston Texans last year, leading the team in total tackles (84) while also intercepting two passes.
According to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, Lewis departed Houston after it looked like he would have to take a diminished role in 2015:
While a starting spot isn't necessarily guaranteed in Baltimore, the Ravens have had plenty of issues at the safety position. Lewis will at least compete for the job.
However, Luke Jones of WNST.net wonders whether the 26-year-old will actually contribute in a meaningful way for Baltimore:
