LeGarrette Blount Injury: Updates on Patriots RB’s Shoulder and Return

The New England Patriots will be without LaGarrette Blount Sunday against the New York Jets. 
Blount has been limited all week with a shoulder injury, and the team announced Saturday night he will sit out the Week 16 matchup:
As ESPN's Mike Reiss noted, this will vault rookie Jonas Gray into a bigger role:
The last time the Patriots were without Blount—Week 11, just before he signed—Gray took 37 carries for 201 yards and four touchdowns against the Indianapolis Colts. 
Throw in all the other offensive weapons Tom Brady has to work with, and the Patriots offense shouldn't skip much of a beat—even without its bruising back.
