‘Let Me Get This Straight’ About Jerry Jones and Jason Garrett’s Job Status

It's business as usual in JerryWorld, where the NFL franchise in North Texas plays by its own set of rules. Consider the recent edict of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones (or non-edict, as it were), who stated that Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett would not be coaching for his job in 2013. 
Ex-squeeze me?
Garrett, who has been almost perfectly average in his two-plus seasons at the helm of America's Team, hasn't exactly lit up the NFC East. Dallas is in a logjam at third place and have watched their division rivals enjoy greater success: the East produced 2011's Super Bowl champion (the New York Giants) and arguably the biggest media darling of the 2012 season (the Washington Redskins, led by Robert Griffin III).
And that's apparently good enough to stay employed as a head coach in the NFL. 
It is in Dallas at least.
