Madden NFL 12: Breaking Down the Bracket for Cover Athlete Competition

One of the biggest sports days of the year is the release of the Madden NFL video game. It's one of the biggest gaming franchises of all-time, and the game has just grown in popularity over the last 10 years.
Last year, gamers got the chance to vote for the cover athlete from a choice of four different NFL players. Drew Brees won the voting over Jared Allen and Reggie Wayne. No disrespect to the two that lost the vote, but it was set up for Brees to win.
This year, EA—the company that makes the game—is taking a different approach to picking the cover athlete. With this being March and March Madness being the theme of the month, they are working with ESPN and have put together a bracket of 32 players—one from each team—with fans deciding the outcome.
There will be one round each week. Voting opened today and will run through April 26, when the winner will be announced on SportsNation.
