Lawsuit Conceivably Could Reach Into the Billions

Madden NFL 12 is making a lot of headlines for a Sunday, but then again it is not like there is any real football to talk about.

In the absence of real football, we can talk about a possible billion-dollar lawsuit filed against EA Games, the maker of the Madden Football game.

According to a report from Reuters:

"The man who created the first version of the uber-successful "Madden NFL Football" video game is suing Electronic Arts over tens of millions of dollars in owed royalties and potentially billions in profits over the franchise, which has sold more than 85 million copies in the more than 20 years since it hit the marketplace."

That is a lot of money. The report goes on to state the plaintiff, Robin Antonick, did not become aware until recently EA Games still was using his basic programming platform.

The question now is if his "did not find out until now" argume...
