Marshawn Lynch Reportedly Fined $75K for Media Silence After NFC Championship

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch was unable to avoid a significant fine for not talking to the media following the team's NFC Championship Game win over the Green Bay Packers in January. 
According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the NFL docked Lynch $75,000 for avoiding the media after the game. 
The league gave Lynch notice Tuesday about setting up a hearing for the fine, which "had never been previously reported nor disclosed," per Florio. He added the hearing was scheduled to take place Thursday, August 27.
On January 22, four days after the Seahawks' victory, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Facebook that the league fined Lynch $20,000 for an obscene gesture after scoring a touchdown with the potential for more fines as a result of not speaking to the media:
According to Florio, Lynch has dropped his appeal of the fine for the obscene gesture, but he's continuing to appeal the fine for not speaking with the media.
