Matt Flynn: Packers QB and Dan Connolly Make For a Crazy Game

December 20, 2010   ·     ·   Jump to comments

Matt Flynn is all the talk tonight. Most NFL pundits gave little to no hope for the Packers to win this game. They were going to be without their star and leader, quarterback Aaron Rodgers. He was out this week as he healed from a concussion.
But Matt Flynn fit in superbly tonight. While Green Bay lost in the end, he showed that he is a valuable asset in case Rodgers suffers any further injuries. Flynn passed for over 250 yards and tossed in three touchdowns.
But Flynn was not the only story line. Patriots guard Dan Connolly did his best impression of DeSean Jackson in the first half. With mere moments remaining in the half, Connolly grabbed a short kickoff and ran 71 yards down to the two yard line. The Patriots scored immediately after. It was a run that typified the type of game this was. Watching it, we had to believe that we could see absolutely anything.
