Availability: The Titans announced he will not be on their roster next season. The ESPN report said, “The Titans will trade or release Vince Young.” Who in their right mind is going to give up anything valuable for a player they have no intention of keeping? Expect him to be released at some point.
Positives: Young’s biggest asset is his mobility…fast and agile…a terror in the open field because of his combination of speed and strength…improving as a passer…big arm…excellent intangibles…a dual-threat playmaker…prototypical size…a winner (30-17 as a starter)…still young at 27.
Negatives: Inconsistent accuracy…low release point…questionable decision making…major non-football baggage…injury-prone…can be indecisive in the pocket.
