Miami Dolphins Re-Sign Micah Johnson To Practice Squad

Two days after being waived to make room for defensive end Lionel Dotson, linebacker Micah Johnson has been re-signed to the Miami Dolphins' practice squad.
Johnson appeared in the Dolphins' regular season opener last week and was credited with one tackle on special teams, but space was needed on the roster for defensive-end depth after Jared Odrick suffered a fractured fibula.
The move leaves the Dolphins with just three healthy inside linebackers due to Channing Crowder's lingering injury.
Now on the practice squad, Johnson will resume his normal practice routine with the Dolphins, but will not be allowed to play in games.
He'll also take quite a pay cut, earning $5,200 a week—a far cry from the $19,000+ he made against Buffalo.
Johnson will also be free to sign with another NFL team while on the Dolphins' practice squad, so long as he is added to that team's active 53-man roster. The Dolphins could always offer to promote him in that ...
