Michael Floyd Cut by Cardinals: Latest Comments and Reaction

The Arizona Cardinals have released wide receiver Michael Floyd, according to Darren Urban of the team's official website.
Urban reported Wednesday that a DUI charge Monday morning "spurred his release" while also noting Floyd's drops this season and decrease in production—he's caught just 33 passes for 446 yards and four touchdowns and has fallen down the pecking order at wide receiver—were likely factors in the decision.
Ian Rapoport of NFL.com also suspected Floyd's off-field conduct was a factor in the decision:
Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill called the decision "very difficult," "deeply disappointing" and "unanimous," according to Rapoport.
Bill Barnwell of ESPN.com saw the move differently, however:
Head coach Bruce Arians noted he, general manager Steve Keim and team president Michael Bidwill all agreed on the decision to cut Floyd, per Urban.
