Michael Hoomanawanui Re-Signs with Saints: Latest Contract Details and Reaction

The New Orleans Saints and tight end Michael Hoomanawanui have agreed to a three-year contract, according to Alex Marvez of Fox Sports and Katherine Terrell of NOLA.com.  
Financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed.
Hoomanawanui, 27, was acquired by the Saints last season in a trade with the New England Patriots. He appeared in 12 games, catching just 11 passes for just 76 yards and three touchdowns. But he established himself as an excellent H-back and as a solid blocker in both the run and pass games, offering the Saints a versatile weapon in a number of formations and roles.
While Hoomanawanui didn't make anyone forget about Jimmy Graham, he paired nicely with Benjamin Watson, who had a career year for the Saints (74 receptions for 825 yards and six touchdowns). Watson remains a free agent, however.
