Michael Lombardi Reportedly Leaving Patriots Front Office, May Return to TV

Michael Lombardi, who had served as a member of the New England Patriots front office since 2013, is reportedly parting ways with the reigning AFC East champions. 
Citing sources, ESPN.com's Mike Reiss reported Friday that Lombardi "could be considering a return to the media, where his longtime friend, Bill Simmons, is starting a new venture at HBO." 
WEEI.com's Christopher Price confirmed Lombardi is moving on from the Patriots. 
Price added that "Lombardi was thought to be responsible for helping bring in a few of [the] role players who grew into important puzzle pieces with the Patriots, including running back Dion Lewis and defensive end Jabaal Sheard."
Prior to joining the Patriots, Lombardi spent the 2013 season as the general manager of the Cleveland Browns. He also worked for NFL.com and NFL Network from 2008 to 2012 after spending time in various NFL front offices.
