Michael Vick’s Injury: What’s Next for Kevin Kolb and the Philadelphia Eagles?

In a game that was already guaranteed to be very emotional, even more stress was added to the cause yesterday.
Michael Vick, who was named the Eagles' starting quarterback on a full-time basis just two weeks ago, went down with a rib injury in the first half.
Kevin Kolb came in to take the reins and led the Eagles to their only touchdown of the game. Despite his touchdown drive, his overall performance was pretty lackluster. He went 22-of-35 for 201 yards, throwing his single touchdown to Brent Celek.
Despite completing so many passes, Kolb only managed an average of 5.7 yards per completion. In his limited time, Vick was 5-of-7, averaging seven yards per completion.
With the Cover 2 scheme the Redskins were showing Kolb, he was forced to complete all his passes on check downs. LeSean McCoy was his main target out of the backfield, as Kolb looked to him 15 times and completed 12 throws his way.
