Minnesota Vikings Herschel Walker Trade Architect Dies at Age 76

In a statement on their website, the Minnesota Vikings confirmed that former general manager Mike Lynn has died.
"The Vikings are deeply saddened by the passing of Mike Lynn," the statement read. "He was instrumental in the success of the Vikings for many years. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Lynn family in this difficult time."
Lynn, who had been residing in Mississippi, passed away at the age of 76 on Saturday.  He was the general manager in Minnesota from 1975 to 1990 and was the last person to hold that title until Rick Spielman was promoted in 2012.     
Lynn is most known for being the mastermind behind the worst trade in Minnesota Vikings history in which the Vikings acquired RB Hershel Walker from the Dallas Cowboys for five players and six draft picks in 1989.
