Nate Washington to Patriots: Latest Contract Details, Comments and Reaction

Veteran wide receiver Nate Washington agreed to terms with the New England Patriots on Thursday, the team announced. 
Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reported the deal is for one year. 
Washington, 32, continues to produce later in his career. He registered 47 receptions for 658 yards and four touchdowns in 14 games with the Houston Texans in 2015. While he's accumulated 1,000 or more passing yards just once in his career (2011), he did notch 919 receiving yards in 2013 with the Tennessee Titans and has posted 647 or more receiving yards in his last two campaigns.
He was second on the Texans in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns in 2015, however.
The veteran was never an elite option in the passing game, but he's a steady player who can provide nice depth for New England, likely as a third or fourth receiver. He's also an excellent locker room presence, with Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle noting that "Washington's leader...
