New England Patriots QB Tom Brady To Have Surgery on Foot

On Wednesday night the Boston Globe broke the news that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady needs surgery on his foot. It now has been confirmed by multiple sources. 
Brady suffered from a stress fracture in his right foot for a significant chunk of the season, and will undergo surgery no later than Monday. 
The Boston Globe has reported that Brady had been receiving treatment for the majority of the season from New England's medical staff; however, it wasn't a huge factor in Brady's performance Sunday against the New York Jets, or at all during the 2010 season. 
The injury is very similar to what Boston Red Sox Dustin Pedroia suffered last season, but it's not as serious. The surgery will likely require that a screw will be inserted into Brady's foot. 
Brady will likely have to wear a walking boot for some time following the surgery. 
If all goes expected, Brady will be ready for next season's training camp.
